The College Experience by Jean - November 2016 Scholarship Essay
The college experience will introduce many new things to me after high school. As a result, the way I react and the choices I make will affect my future immensely. One thing that I’m thankful for with the college experience is that I’ll be able to learn more about myself.
I’ll learn certain things that will lead me to becoming a Pharmacist. Before that happens, I’ll have to take hardcore classes. Having hard classes will determine how well I’ll sort out my priorities. I’ll learn to do what is most important. In addition to sorting out my priorities, I will learn new ways of studying. Acquiring an education towards pharmacy will lead to good pay. I will be able to help people out medically. Also, I’ll see science at it’s work everyday. Not only does pharmacy have good pay and science, but with pharmacy, I’ll be able to live anywhere in the world.
The college experience will help me learn what my passions are too. Right now, I enjoy kayaking, music, and sports. College will introduce many more interesting activities to me through organizations and clubs. My interests will widen once I’m in college.
Along with the college experience letting me learn more about myself through education, and passions, I’ll learn more about myself through friends. College friends are more effective than high school friends because college friends will be the ones I’ll hang out with for the rest of my life. The lifestyle my friends live will determine the lifestyle I’ll live. In high school, I was surrounded by many Christian friends. In college I’ll find out if I’ll have friends like that for the rest of my life.
College will throw many curveballs towards me. The choices I make will all depend on me. I will learn more about me through the choices I make and how I handle certain situations. My decisions will form the type of person I will be in the future. I will the thankful for the college experience because ,who I am I, will be revealed to me.
