To me, leadership means setting an example for others as well as setting up yourself and others up for success. Leadership means to treat everyone the in the same manner and lead others to be their best self. Leadership means to be there for others and help out when needed. Finally, leadership means to have passion for what you do and be fully involved in what you do.
Someone who has demonstrated great leadership is my friend Olivia. Olivia is an excellent friend, leader, and student who was the drum major for my high school’s marching band for my sophomore and junior year of high school. One way you could tell that Olivia was a great leader was because everyone looked up to her and loved her, even if they barely knew her. Olivia is very outgoing, bubbly and always open to new things. She remembers to always treat people with kindness even if they didn’t treat her with kindness back. I admire her is amount of passion for what she does, setting an example for thoes stepping in her position. Helping others when they are struggling is an excellent skill of hers as well.
Olivia has showed not only me, but so many other people what it means to be a leader as well as what it means to be a good person. She guides so many people for success in their future.
