Time is Money by Javier - September 2014 Scholarship Essay
An essential part to college is managing your time. You're going to college for a higher education, paying for the classes you're enrolled in, so it's best not to waste the time you have. That's why the most important skill to success in college is time management.
It's as simple as making a schedule or having a separate planner specifically for college courses. With this planner, you will be able to stay prepared for your education and regulate study time. You'll be able to prioritize your activities and schooling to the maximum. Due dates, tests, and even importance of tasks will all be prearranged for you if you plan ahead of time. Waiting last minute by procrastinating is by far the worst thing to do, thus displaying lack of time management.
Without this crucial technique, you as a student, will more likely be disorganized and thrown off balance. You won't be motivated to do the tasks you have been assigned and you won't complete your duty as a scholar. If you don't work out a plan, you can easily be interrupted or reschedule your projects for another time. You must fully concentrate on the responsibility at hand.
In closing, time management is number one on the list of important skills to success in college. Use your time wisely, and make sure to contemplate it in order of greatest importance. In cases like college, time is money, literally.
