Leadership skills are very important in your college career for a variety of reasons. The two most important things that will come from leadership skills are an increase in your communication skills and you will gain confidence. `

Developing or increasing your communication skills will come with being a leader. The more you lead, and take control of things, the more you will talk and communicate with more and more people. Communication plays a very important role in many big careers today. You have to be able to speak with confidence to be recognized at your job.

When you are a leader anywhere, you feel empowered. When you get the feeling of being empowered, you want to feel like that again so you go above and beyond to feel like that again. In order to gain confidence in college, you could serve as a tour guide for new, incoming students, you could organize sports rallies, and you could even answer more in the classroom.

Another thing that comes along with being a leader in college is the fact that you’ll more than likely get recognized. If you’re that person who is really outgoing and very confident, you will get recognized for being that person. Being a confident leader in college may be noticed by many people, eventually leading to a possible school award or even unique opportunities by other students.
