We are all color blind by jasmine - September 2017 Scholarship Essay

We all have took a class in college that that we did not want to take, but we had to fill up our schedule. Recently, taking this sociology class has really changed my way of thinking. One major social problem is how we view certain groups of people for example how one may dress, look, speak, eat, or even because of their religion, And most important of them all is there race. You may be shocked to hear about this one people's reactions changes according to gender and how they look.

We had watched this one video where they did a social test, In the school social tests they had a white man pretend to steal a bike, And then they had a Young Hispanic man pretend to steal the bike, after that they had a black man pretend to steal the bike, finally they had a female try to steal the bike. When the white man had pretended to seal the fight no one believe he acted they look that him and a sense of Open the chain of his own bike. When the Hispanic man tries to seal the bike, People started to re-act and they asked him "is this your bike?" After a while when the black man had tried to steal the bike everyone that was in that park reacted, we have had people calling the police, we had people trying to stop him. The point was everyone tried stop him. Then they suddenly try to do a test with a female trying to steal the bike. People looked at this email thought she was attractive and even try to help her steal the bike.

Our society, our justice system is colorblind, race is effecting what we do, see, and think. In society appearance also matters "gender." And think; how can a good person to something bad? Nowadays no one wants to get involved but then complains about how corrupt our society is. Do you realize we are the ones that makes the society bad, we are the reason the world is what it is today. Some people don't get involved because didn't want to be in any trouble, or they might be wrong but it wouldn't really hurt if you Stop, Think, Be rational, then react.

Not everyone in our world is a criminal because one maybe black or because one maybe Hispanic. You have to be more open minded. Everyone is human no one deserves to be labeled a criminal. You don't be aware, reduce stigma, Consider the whole person, respect. Maybe once the world realizes not to turn one's race into a identity, the World may change for the better.
