Having an education is one of the most prized possessions that anyone can obtain. But some people are not as fortunate to be able to receive an education. For me, even though receiving an education is for myself, so that I can be successful, it is important to receive an education so that I am  knowledgeable about what is going on around me and the outside world. Not only does having an education make you knowledgeable, but it adheres to personal and life skills such as interacting with people. By getting a classroom education, I have learned the importance of teamwork, getting along with others, communication, and being punctual, as well as other skills, which all are very useful for life in the real world.    Having an education will give me the necessary skills to be able to be successful in the career that I choose. I take receiving an education very seriously because many people are not given the opportunity and cannot afford to be able to get an education, let alone a higher education. I am a first generation student and find it important to make sure that I work hard now, so that I am able to accomplish what I want to later and to be able to have a very successful life. I am so thankful to be able to go to a university and receive an education that will get me one step closer to my goals.
