The road to success by jaslyn - December 2017 Scholarship Essay

Projects can be a hard thing to do at times, we can all think back on a time where we had to think real hard and get to cracking on an important class project. It can most definitely be a challenge, and often takes tons of effort and time. We all want and need that good grade, and the best ways to ensure that your going to ace that tough project is to follow these three basic rules: finalize the project details, choose the right team and system, and last but not least keep the project on track and and manage the risks. With these three easy steps, guaranteed success is coming your way.
For a start, finalizing the project details can be a major step for success. Before beginning a project it’s vital to lay out a foundation, this means understanding the expectations of the project and having a well thought out plan. When in a group for a project, making sure everyone has and knows their role and responsibility in the group, will save tremendous amounts of time and get the project onto the right track. Within these first steps, develop a strong plan for the project, and set high goals for you and your group. Completing a project can take quite a bit of time, it is necessary to create due dates for parts of your project if not assigned already, this will insure that everything is being completed within the correct time and everyone is doing their part to contribute to the assignment.
That being the case, choosing the right team, and producing a well-rounded system will guarantee a successful project. When picking your perfect team, it’s important to select people who will benefit the team with their skills and experience. Each task given, should be best fit to that person.. You wouldn’t want a computer genius in charge of the display. After all the jobs are given out in the group, each individual must be committed to the part, and ready to move forward with the project.
For a productive team to succeed in a project together, there needs to be clear communication between the group. Create specific times, dates, and more.. Communication is key, and can make or break your group.
As a final point, do everything you can to keep the project on track, and moving at a reasonable pace. Its challenging to keep everyone on task at once, and you never know when change will occur during the project. The best thing to do in these situations is to stay calm, and communicate with the group on how to find a solution to the issue and resolve it in a orderly manner. During a project there's going to be things at risk and its important that an individual in the group is ready to handle the challenges to come.
In conclusion, projects are a difficult thing, and can be challenging in several ways. By following the three easy steps: finalize the project details, choose the right team and system, and keep the project on track and and manage the risks; you are most definitely on the road to success.
