Life Goals by Jamie - December 2015 Scholarship Essay
A lot of things can happen within 10 years of your life. People can go through college and a degree, find a job, get married, and eventually could have kids. There are many other things that could happen, but those are the basic answers you will hear if you ask someone where they want to be 10 years from now. Ten years from now I want to have traveled the world, mastered in Elementary Education, then getting a stable job as a teacher, and living in New York City with my husband and two kids.
In ten years I want to be able to say I have been all over the world. I want to travel to London, Brazil, and Ireland. If I get the chance to travel not just there but even more places my life would be complete. I would have stories to tell people about all the amazing things I was able to see. It is something I have always wanted to do in life.
Mastering in Elementary Education is still very important to me. I want my parents to be proud of what I have accomplished in college, and if I get a master then I know they will be. Getting an education has always been one of my main goals in life, and I do not plan on failing. If I do not master in Elementary Education I would want to master in Human Resources. Being a teacher is something I have wanted to since I was in middle school. I want to teach kindergarten kids, and see them succeed in life.
Most importantly, I want to be living in Manhattan, NYC with my husband and two kids. I have always thought that I would want to have two kids some day. To be more specific, one boy and girl. Getting married was never serious thing for me until recently. I suddenly decided I would want someone to come home to everyday, and to cook dinner for.
Ten years from now I hope to see my life a whole lot more interesting. I want to have traveled the world, graduated college with a degree, have a job, and live in Manhattan with my husband and two kids. These have been my life goals for a while now, and I will try my hardest to make it happen for me.
