Burgers with the First Black President by Jamie - October 2017 Scholarship Essay

If I was able to have dinner with any president I would chose to have dinner with President Barack Obama. I chose this president because he was the first black president of the United States of America and that was a very big accomplishment for the black community. I would want to personally congratulate him for being the first black man to make it to the white house. I would want to talk to him about how his accomplishment has helped me gain the courage that whatever I put my mind to, I can succeed in the task.
When I got to dinner I would ask him about how hard it was to get to where he us now and what made him choose to do this. I would want to talk to him about his goals as a president and who was his inspiration in life. I would talk to him about how he thinks his accomplishment has changed the world for the better and for the worse. I want to have dinner with him so, I can see where he stands with these things and just get to know the man who became a legacy in the black community.
In summary, I would truly love the chance to have dinner with President Obama because he was such a huge impact in my environment as I was growing up and was a true inspiration many black children including myself.
