Education Shapes by James - December 2014 Scholarship Essay

One might ask me how has education shaped who I am today? Education has shaped me to the person that I am today buy it taught me how to get along with the people that I went to school with. For example without going to school, I would have never wanted to go to a technical school for computers.

When I was a little kid, I was able to use the computers. Ever since I used one in school I have been interested in them. And as I got older I found out that my grandpa used to work for IBM, and he knew a lot about them. He taught me everything he knew about them. After he taught me I started messing with them I wanted to go into a career field that I was able to work on them as a living. I look up to my grandpa because he always tells be stories about how computers used to be and how they are now. For example he told me that computers used to be so big that they took up a lot of space. And that they have a lot more wires coming out of them unlike what they do today.

I know that it seems like I am rambling on, but without me going to school, I would have never had the wonderful opportunity to work on computers for a living.
