Everyone in high school is talking about graduating from high school and going to college,but what is college? It is an after high school institution that offers a higher education to all high school graduates. But is attending college really important?
There are many types of colleges and each of them differs from each other, but the most well known type of college is 4-year college. It is institution that offers undergraduate programs that lead to a Bachelor’s degree in a certain area of study. It’s consisted out of 8 semesters, which take 4 years to finish. After graduating it, one will obtain a document that confirms possession of a Bachelor’s degree, and this will offer an opportunity for a better paid job, but only in that certain area that one have studied.
If one doesn’t want to go to college, there are plenty of options. One of them is trade school, which offers wide angle of programs in many careers, and is designed to train students in skills required to obtain specific trade job. The length of studying depends on area that one wants to pursue.
So is attending college that important? It all depends on area that one wants to pursue in the future. For me personally attending college is very important because it not only offers you to get a higher education but also offers to study in more complex and difficult areas than other schools. Also it is easier to get a better paid job afterwards.
