Overcoming roadblocks by Jaden - July 2021 Scholarship Essay

In Spring of 2018, on the first day of baseball tryouts, I dislocated my kneecap in baseball & missed almost the entire baseball season. In Spring of 2019, I tore my UCL in my thumb which required surgery and thus caused me to miss some of that baseball season as well. At that time, I was also not able to write with my right hand due to being in a cast. I needed to go to physical therapy multiple days a week for each injury and became familiar with the ins and outs of the process. It was a very trying time in my life as baseball was everything to me and knowing I couldn't play really made me have to explore myself and decide what else makes me happy.
After experiencing multiple injuries that required physical therapy, I believe I found my calling in Exercise Physiology. I would love to help others recover from injuries just as my therapists and doctors helped me. Thank you for your consideration of my admission.
