Academic Choolenge by Jacob - December 2024 Scholarship Essay

I have had many challenging academic experiences throughout my time in school. The main academic challenge that I have faced has been time management. Time management has been a problem I have faced throughout my whole life, in and out of school. Whenever I get an assignment, I always wait until the last minute to do it. Also, if I have an important task I need to get done, I will usually put it off and do other things up until it is due. It is a very bad habit that I have tried to break for years but continue to let happen.
There have been multiple ways that I have tried to correct and fix this problem. A few ways are to do the task or assignment as soon as it is given, make a list of all of the assignments or tasks, and finally organize the tasks and assignments into the biggest and most important first. These ways of managing time have been effective and useful when I start to put off or turn in late assignments. I slowly have been trying to change my ways as I finish my schooling, but will still start to fall back into my old ways at times. Overall, I believe my biggest academic challenge has been time management and turning in my assignments on time.
