The significance of my college life by ivette - December 2023 Scholarship Essay
I am so excited to go into the medical field. I believe that we really need more people in that society that care. I'm going to be a Diagnostic Medical Sonography. It's exciting because it's a nurse who looks for the baby in the mother's stomach and it can really be sad at times if there's any complications. That's something I'm preparing myself for to be able to do something I wanted to do since I was growing up.
To me being a diagnostic medical sonography is so exciting. Getting into the only college in Utah that has a program for it was a dream come true. There's so much fun to it that I can't wait to do. I've always known growing up I wanted to go into something like that. I genuinely believe we need more people in the medical field who actually care about the people. Mostly in the cruel world we live in.
It's always been my dream to help others. After looking more in debt at what I wanted to study, I figured out it was becoming an ultrasound tech. I know I would physically help people feel better or help them recover from being sick. But one thing I know is that I will put smiles on people and seeing their babies will make them so happy.
I've always also had thoughts of being a traveling ultrasound tech. I'm not fully sure about that one quite yet. I think it could be fun chasing my goals and traveling at the same time. But it'll push me away from my family who I love. Figuring out my future has been hard, but I know the author of the new journey, and I know that it'll end up with success.
I'm excited for the new journey I'm going to take. I know there will be so many obstacles on my way there and it'll probably feel like a rollercoaster. But I am more ready than ever to chase my dreams and goals. I'm ready to make others smile. As well as making others feel worthy how they should and be a good nurse to those whose babies I will be looking at.
