If I could have dinner with a president, it would be President Abraham Lincoln. He was the most interesting president that has ever seen the presidential office. I also admire his way to look past the majority’s beliefs and act towards the morally appropriate actions. He knew how to run the office as a president and was not shy to speak up about the right thing. That is a characteristic that is very in need, especially with the president that is in office now.

Abraham Lincoln was not only a fair president, but he was an innovative guy. He had a patent for an invention that freed steamboats that run aground. He even practiced law without a degree, and only had 18 months of proper schooling. Lincoln actually wanted to make it possible for women to vote, even in the year 1836. This just goes on to show that Lincoln was an extremely compassionate person. He also loved animals, but he wouldn’t fish or hunt. What really makes Lincoln an extraordinary president is the fact that he used to wrestle. He didn’t wear a mask or have a manager. Lincoln was also a very religious person, reading the bible every single day. However, he never did join an organized church. Lincoln toke care of his body. He never drank, smoked, or chewed. He also didn’t like being Abe. Instead, he preferred Lincoln. Lincoln was also the one to establish Thanks Giving as a national holiday. One of Lincoln’s favorite foods was oysters. Lincoln had a dog named Fiddo and a cat named Tabby. His cat was known for eating at the White House’s dinner table. He was also the first president to use the telegraph. Lincoln’s mother was actually killed by poisoned milk. And Lincoln was shot and killed on Good Friday.

Without a doubt, Lincoln was the most interesting president. He was a first-timer for a lot of things and made a positive impact on the world. He had sound morals and an interesting background. I would really enjoy speaking to him and picking his brain. I feel like I could learn lots from him and have a great time at dinner.
