Trials, before success. by Ifeoma - December 2017 Scholarship Essay

School Project, two words that every student dreads. Concern, uneasiness, panic, and anxiety all arise due to these two spoken words. The hours put in, the emotional rollercoaster that surfaces, and the never-ending cycle of stress it produces, all to ensure that the work is outstanding. When all is done, it feels as though you have survived being engulfed in flames. And your satisfaction is known when you let out that big sigh of relief signifying your apprehension has vanished. But there’s one question that lingers in one’s mind: would it be seen as a successful project?

Luckily, to avoid one’s mind from such an excruciating thought there’s a strategy for success on your school project. One that comes to mind is to first identify and thoroughly grasp the requirements needed for your project. By doing so, you ensure that you fully comprehend what you need to do. Being able to comprehend the scope of your project then increases your work plan and creates a clear vision. This, in turn, helps you set up the steps you must take for each component needed in the project. You can then brainstorm how you will approach this project and which way you should take that will best reflect the message you are trying to convey. After that, you are then able to set goals and plans for your project. Your goals and plans can include gathering materials, researching, and putting things together. When all is done, the final step you must then achieve is the execution.

As you can see—by identifying and grasping the requirements needed—it guides you through the steps you must take to create a remarkable project. Additionally, it also eliminates any errors or excess components not needed thus allowing you to get to the objective of your project. This strategy is one I recommend because it essentially answers the questions of what needs to be accomplished, steps to take to be completed and what is the message you are trying to convey for the project.
