In ten years from now. I hope to be a content man who is married, with at least one child, and most importantly working a finance job that I am thrilled to wake up to everyday.
My inspiration derives from watching my parents’ battle to rise from nothing. My parents moved to this country as immigrants during their teenage years and built a life with little in their arsenal because it took everything to get to America. I witnessed how finances affected my parents, and I wish I could have been able to help them. Through their feats, I learned about the many roadblocks in finance, and how I can carry out a purpose.
Finance is a conflict where there can be many roadblocks, and I am shocked by the effects it has on my family. One moment, I see family members enjoying themselves at raves and parties, but the next moment they are frantically working eighty hours a week to get money because one debt brought chaos. It was like watching a soaring eagle suddenly become chained by financial burdens to the ground, but there was hope.
I saw how my parents would financially support my other family members despite their own struggles, and their generosity moved me. My parents have a great deal of monetary barriers; like English being their second language, and not being able to take financial literacy classes. Just like them, I know everyone has their own worries, but I believe they deserve to not have finances be one of them. Thanks to my parents, I have been put in a position where I have less barriers, and I intend to carry out their unselfishness with my own capabilities in mathematics and financial management.
I can see myself, at twenty-eight years old, being more refined at economic management and adopting new collegiate strategies to utilize income for increasing net worth, so I can bring those in need out of generational debt or any other kind of financial emergency/burden. I yearn to be a man of his community while also tending to my own wife and kids, and eventually become an influencer to extend the reach of my will.
