People always ask me what I want to be when I grow up. I was always told that I should be able to answer this question by high school. But no, I went into high school knowing nothing. Nothing I wanted to do or be. I mean, I like science, I like math, but that is it. Until that one day. Everyone has those days that change their life. This day was the day for me. The day when my grampa got diagnosed with stage four lung and liver cancer. I watched him battle hard and push through the pain for his family. He would always say, "Hummles are rough; Hummels are tough." Unfourntly, he did not make it, but I promised myself I would help him in every way I could. After this rough year, I finally could come up with an answer to the question of what you want to be when you grow up.
I want to become a pharmaceutical scientist. Most people would have no idea what pharmaceutical science is. Pharamisucital science is developing new drugs. Drugs to help people like my grandpa. Families are going through pain like I had to experience. With this major, I could I know I am helping the world. Helping people through the skills I have is very important to me.
