The part of my education I'm most thankful for is... by Haylee - November 2020 Scholarship Essay

Coming from a smaller city and school, it often seems as if we don't get the same opportunities as students going to bigger schools have. For example not having very many class option's so we don't always get to learn or experience something different. So even though that it often seems like there are more negatives there are so many things that I am thankful for that I have gotten through my education.
I wouldn't have gotten the great education that I did without the dedicated and caring teachers that I have had. There are some that I wouldn't have made it this far without. They have inspired me to keep my head and grades up to be able to have the option to reach my dreams. I have been taught so many skills I'll be able to take with me through college and my career. I am so thankful for them, and the connections I've made. I have struggled with being distant and quiet through a lot of my school so my high school teachers have made school and learning a comfortable place for me to be able to get help when I needed it.
I truly believe that I have gotten an education that'll help me make it as far as I wanna go and I am so thankful that I had teachers along the way to keep my eyes open to the bigger picture and didn't let me slip.
