20 Days by Harley - August 2022 Scholarship Essay

20 days from now I will be heading to my first college class. I will be stepping into a brand new environment and be faced with things I never had to deal with in high school. In my high school career, I kept my GPA high and kept myself at an A average. I was excellent at time management and I thrived under the pressure of AP tests and the SATs. But now, heading into this new found freedom I will have in 20 days, my only academic goal is to not let my grades slip.
I do not want to let this freedom of this unstructured environment affect my GPA. I took college classes at my high school, and those were a challenge. So, this fall I hope to hold myself up to the same standard I did in high school. And keep my focus on that A average and maintaining a high GPA. I plan to hold myself up to this academic goal by continuing being organized and diligent with my coursework.
These 6 college classes I will be attending in 20 days will be tougher than my high school ones last year, but with the determination I have to continue my A average, I believe this academic goal is obtainable.
