My Future in 10 Years by Hannah - December 2015 Scholarship Essay

“Dr. Hannah Stanley” are words that one day I hope to hear. I see my life in 10 years at a hospital. I would be finishing up residency and working towards my career as a family physician. Helping all of those that I can because I would never want to miss an opportunity to help someone. As a family physician I would get to know my patients very closely. I think that it is very important to have good relationships with your patients so as a doctor you are aware of what goes on in their life and how they normally are. Its crucial for patients to feel comfortable and safe with their doctor. I think that it is amazing if you have a doctor that you look forward to seeing and that you can talk to about anything you are feeling and hopefully I am that doctor for my patients.
Besides a career in ten years I want to be married to the love of my life and have two children and three to four more on the way! I would love to have a big family, to me family is the most important thing to me. By then I expect to be living in a house that me and my husband own and be paying off the student loans that I would have.
The education I am getting now will help me reach the career that I am working too by preparing me for college and all the work that goes along with it. After I get my bachelors degree in pre-med I would then apply for medical school. By getting a good education I would then be prepared for taking the MCAT, which is a test applicants take to get into medical school. The MCATs are very important to getting into medical school you have to have a high score to be qualified. By getting a good education I would then be qualified for medical school. At medical school the good education would then make me qualified for the job that I want at the hospital of my choice. A good education is crucial for a bright future!
