The first college to open was in 1636. Since then, various colleges around the country help students from all backgrounds, races, sex and religion obtain a degree in whatever they wish to study. College is the foundation of our country as it aims to further an individual in their field of study. Without college, our country would be far less advanced.
College as we all know, is not free and it is a shame that money comes down to a deciding factor for many people around the world. Everyone is told at some point in their life that college will be the best 4 years of your life, and I am beyond excited to experience furthering my education and meeting new people while also playing the sport I love. Attending college is important because you are more likely to succeed while attending school consistently. A degree is a certificate that holds a lot of meaning in our country and is some times a gateway to success. It is also a key to getting a job in your field and provides a long term financial gain. It also allows you to open up as a human and meet new people. Some people meet life long best friends in college, as well as the love of their life.
