While the growth of society is changing, technology is advancing each year and the growth in education and curriculum is accelerating at a rapid pace. Technology is used in common culture and the case does not change in the classroom. The progress of technology impacts the classroom by growing research, gaining tools used in everyday life, and creates a new way for students and their peers to collaborate to make the classroom experience impact their life.
Technology enhances the classroom experience by growing resources for research, allowing unlimited opportunities. With help from search engines, students are able to explore more resources and research than if they went to the local library for a project. Students can search for sources from top universities to use for school projects to make their project more credible. On the other side of the spectrum, the instructors can gather activities and lessons to educate students. From social media sites including Pinterest and Youtube, teachers can gather ideas for future lessons and activities and use them for their own classrooms. The technology advancement allows students and teachers to progress their curriculum and schoolwork to the next level, while without technology the resources would not be as broad.
Teachers and administration attempt to obtain the best tools to educate their students. With the expansion of technological resources, students can learn how to use different forms of research to use in school projects. Students can search for samples of different projects to examine how to use different forms of research in a specific project. This allows the students to gain confidence in their projects and to ensure they are using resources correctly. Different from the library, the student has access to more examples and samples, whereas you could not search for samples in a traditional library. Collaboration in the workplace and in the classroom allows their peers to gather thoughts and gather the best possible results for any research or project. New applications on the computer allow students to collaborate via computer, tablet, or phone on the same document and edit at the same time. For example, google applications including slides, docs, and classroom allow students to participate in editing a school project at the same time and take the project home with them without losing the work already done. Before the technology advancements took place, students had to bring a flash drive to school and save the work through the flash drive and do it at home. Group projects became difficult because one person ended up doing all the work. Google classroom also allows the teacher to post assignments, allowing students to keep up with work when they are at home sick. Technology allows students and teachers to transport their work in an efficient way, creating a better classroom experience.
In conclusion, technology enhances students learning experience by allowing growth in research, gaining tools in everyday life from technology, and collaboration between peers. Technology is now allowing students to gain a better learning experience inside and outside of the classroom.
