Fear is often embedded in the distorted ways an individual views oneself and the world in which he encompasses. However, if one learns how to dominate his mind, reduce, and eliminate these ways then his fear and all of its sources will be terminated. One of my greatest fears has been speaking in front of a big crowd of people. My voice tends to tremble more than usual, my hands are filled with sweat, and my body stiffens incredibly. Furthermore, I believe that my courage will develop if I involve myself in courageous acts. Many people dislike public speaking because they fear their neighbors will show disapproval and find their performance humorous.

Therefore, if I was a college professor, I would teach a course on public speaking. Public speaking is crucial in life because it increases one’s self confidence, ability to motivate others, and can lead one to getting a better job and an experience with generating sales possibly in one’s own business or work. People are going to gravitate towards those who possess a great deal of confidence and motivation. As a public speaking professor, I would push my students to challenge their selves in areas that scare them so that they can overcome their fears and feel powerful not powerless
