Do it All by Hannah - April 2016 Scholarship Essay

Knowing what I know now, I would suggest to younger students to do all that they can do in high school. As in get involved in their community and school, but not to get too busy that they can't have any fun. Being involved is a lot of fun and can help later on. For example, community service, and school activities are good for when applying for scholarships, and give the students an advantage making them able to apply to more compared to students who weren't involved. Not only does it help in the long run, but it can help the students who are involved to gain more friends, more confidence, and to stay out of trouble. With this, students should keep a record of what they were involved in, how many hours, and the years that the have participated in the certain activity so that they have a future reference.
In order for students to be involved, they have must have good grades. Therefore students should do their best to keep their grades as high as they can. Good grades definitely help in the future as the grades can affect whether a person goes to college or not or whether they can apply for scholarships and other things. Having a high gpa is good as well. To maintain both of these, I recommend younger students to study all the time for their tests, never be afraid to ask teachers any questions when they are confused, do their homework so they can turn it in on time, and maybe take a couple honors classes if possible.
Another thing is that students should take time to sit down and research the job that they want to get after college so that they will know if they really want to continue that path or not. Along with that, they should research all the colleges that they want to go to or are thinking about, compare them, and make trips to see the top colleges picked, the summer before their high school senior year, or the beginning of their senior year. Then apply to the top colleges and try to get into the early registration. Along with applying to college, students need to find as many scholarships that apply to them and apply for them from the beginning of senior year until the end.
Last but not least, these younger students need to find time for themselves to just relax and have fun. Do it all is the best way to explain my advice. Stay involved, study hard, maintain those good grades, research the important things, but never forget to relax.
