Technology in 2038 by Hanadi - February 2018 Scholarship Essay

Today, schools have developed Chromebooks and tablets in the classroom as tools to make the student’s learning environment better. Computers, phones, and even tablets are updating every single year. Companies are coming up with new ideas and new ways for the people to use their technology better, faster, and easier. In 2038, I believe that technology will have gone so far that there won’t be a use for pencils and papers. There will be apps like Google Classroom and Flipgrid; however, better and more developed versions. These apps are going to be for students who will write their papers or record themselves and just submit their work in that moment. That will also help the teachers see how the students are doing and how they can help them to make their learning better.
Not only that, I also believe that people and students will not use the libraries as much as they use them today. Libraries have always been there for people to go to for books, quiet places for studying, and printing. In 2038, rather than going to the library and physically checking out a book, there will be apps like audible and other improvements in the phones or computers where everyone can read a book online. They will be able to select the book to be read to them too.
Another technology that I’m pretty sure will be available for the students is the 3D printers. The schools will have these printers for the students to experiment on and to print anything that they want to touch or feel for educational purposes. For example, in a calculus class, when the teacher is teaching the washer method lesson in a calculus class, the teacher can use the 3D printer to print out an example of how the object rotates and gets out of the board. Instead of using a marker and a flat white board to explain that the objects come out of the board in order to find the volume, he or she can print the object they’re talking about and use it as an example. The students will gain a better understanding of the lessons.
As for the robots that are getting partially created now in 2018, will be all ready to go in the year of 2038. Robots have been an outgoing topic that everyone is interested in. If they will be dangerous, or if they will be smart, and even if they will ever think and act normally like human beings without having to be set up. I don’t believe that there will be a robot that does everything like human beings without having to be programmed; however, it is a possibility. We might have robots and they will be somewhat smart to the point where they will help the human race with as many things as possible. They will be made to look like normal human beings with the body parts and the facial structure. This will help students because they will have new experiences and they will be exposed to so much technology development that creating a robot will be a no problem to them. They will be able to come up with so many more idea for more years ahead of them.
