Time Management by Hana - August 2018 Scholarship Essay
When I was little, I often avoided doing assignments until the night before. I would then rush to complete them. From writing fables to posters about Ponce de León, I would always be in a rush. However, as I grew older, I began to realize how important time management and completing assignments in a timely manner was. If I had a popular educational podcast, I would share information and tips for time management with my peers and younger students.
My personal experience would allow me to create high-quality content about time management. For example, I often visit my school's library before school and have an effective period of about half an hour to work on upcoming assignments or study. However, many students at my school do not take advantage of the quiet space and resources their library provides. In addition, I often begin to work on the day's assignments during lunch or on the bus ride home. These are ways to make use of as much time as possible in your day, something many teens need due to the overwhelming workload of various honors and AP classes as well as extracurricular activities.
In addition to my own experience, I would also have the resources of my parents and friends to draw from if I had an education podcast. My parents often suggest methods to study on the go, manage college emails, and apply to scholarships with minimal time investment. Just as money saved is money earned, time is also earned as it is saved. My friends, as fellow AP and honors students, have their own methodology for studying, saving time, and managing large workloads. I would love to share them with others who could benefit.
If I had a popular educational podcast, I believe that the most logical choice of topic for me that would allow me to help the most listeners would be time management due to my experiences and the resources that I can access.
