the Hunger Games by Haley - July 2013 Scholarship Essay
I thing the best book that I read in school was in my first college class English 101, where the teacher picked the book The Hunger Games. Even though I read the book before taking the class, I got to read it again for the class and read even more into the book to write an essay on The Hunger Games. The teacher told us why he picked this book out, because he thought this book would get people back into reading again when so many of them haven’t picked up a book in many years. I found that even more cool and interesting, because everyone in the class read the book and was able to write amazing essays.
I like The Hunger Games because it was essaying to read but had a good plot line in it. The plot line in the book cover a hero’s journey on how the main character started out, to how they come back in the end with a better look out life. I enjoy reading the Hunger Games book in my English 101 class and it gave me a better look at books and how almost all books have a hero’s journey in them.
