If I could choose any president to have dinner with, I would definitely choose Abraham Lincoln. Why choose Honest Abe? Well he was a big animal lover just like I am! Lincoln was very fascinating in his own unique way. He was the president who established Thanksgiving as a national holiday, so thank him for giving us Thanksgiving. Also, he practiced law without a degree. I would love to hear about his stories as a president and all the accomplishments he made during his time. Lincoln was the first president to have a beard! Why wouldn't you want to have dinner with a trendsetter like Lincoln? I would have dinner with him just to ask questions about if he could go back what would he do differently. One of the major things Lincoln created was the Emancipation Proclamation. I would ask him what made him create such a document to free all the spaces and what made him feel the way he felt about slavery. Without Lincoln being president, I think a lot of things would not have happened. He was not a selfish person and that showed through in his presidency. Choosing dinner with Abraham Lincoln also wouldn't be a regret because he would for sure have many stories to tell about the Civil War, so this is why I would choose Lincoln as my president to eat dinner with.
