“What would your senior yearbook quote be? Discuss what it says about you.”
When I read this question I immediately thought of a quote that was told to me and what I think is important for the younger generation trying to find their way in society. The quote I would say is, “look at each step and not the whole staircase.” I have instilled this quote in my mind that my father has told me which I think roots from Martin Luther King’s quote, “Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” I firmly believe this and I always tell my friends and family and myself this when we run into stressful times. Like myself and many others, we begin to feel overwhelmed when we look at a situation or the road block ahead. It’s best to take it a step at a time to overcome the situation or problem that presents itself. I was reminded this when I graduated from high school and did not know what I wanted to do with my life. Like myself and many others graduating, trying to find our way in this world is overwhelming and we must take each step at a time.
