There are many benefits to a college degree, both mentally and physically. Mentally, they will make you smarter, make you feel proud of yourself, make other people congratulate you, etc. Physically they get you jobs to places that someone without a degree will never be able to have. Jobs that pay really well, and people wish that they had. Getting a degree may be costly in the meantime, but I view it as an investment. It is something that will pay itself off in the future. Once you pay it off, it is just making you money for the rest of your life as long as you stay employed. One thing that is very important is making sure you love that career, and if you do, then getting a degree in that field will benefit you astronomically. Many people change their minds on what they want to do after or during college, then it seems like a waste, but it still isn’t. You still became more educated and learned things you never would have learned if you didn't go to those classes. Getting a degree is the foundation of chasing the American dream, and everybody deserves a fair shot at that.
