Technology has opened doors to connections across expansive areas and to endless information. We have at our disposal the information found in any paper, textbook or library. Thus, students and teachers can be more involved and comprehensive in learning and developing the generations that will build on a cyber world.
In my own experience, technology has allowed me opportunities that would have been a distant dream just ten years ago. Especially, as a high school senior in college courses online content and discussions are key to my academic success. In my Principles of Management course, my professor divided us into groups with an online discussion forum. The online discussion allowed me to connect with my group who were overwhelmed by school work, responsibilities and jobs that made in person meetings unimaginable. We could log on and add our research or expand on ideas at our convenience. I could look at questions between my classes, at lunch or at night with the ideas always available. By the time a project was due, we had it done days before and with analysis and research that would have been unavailable without technology. Therefore, technology is a newly essential element to education and to life, which enables any student the opportunities provided to their classmates and to seek am education their parents never could with dreams now obtainable through technology's endless progress and potential.
