Wow, high school is going too fast! Slow down please! If I can give one pice of advice to my younger self it would be this: the days are long but the years are short. I never really understood what my mother meant by this until I got to my senior year. Where did the time go? I still feel like I’ve got years left in high school. In reality, the end of senior year will be here before you know it. We spend so much time living the moment but not enough time actually living in the moment. Live it, embrace it because when it’s gone, it’s gone! You have but a memory of the excitement but can you still feel the hugs, hear the cheers, see the ones who matter most? The days are long, but again the years are short. Live it, love it, embrace every moment.
We spend so much time rushing to get from one place to the next but what do we really take in? Do you take the time to look at the clouds or the clear blue sky on a summer day? Are we just going through the motions? I’d like to say no, because I know it is all coming to an end. A year from now, I will be away from all those I love and what I know! I want to take it all in now, breathe in the days of my senior year, cherish those that I love and most of all…forget about it…leave all the negativity behind and continue forward into the unknown! Live it, love, embrace it!
