If I had the opportunity to create a high school extracurricular activity, I would create a campaign club. In this club, the members would discuss on a current event happening around the world. More focus would be placed on an event that is not shown much on the media so that we could bring more awareness to it. After we have decided on an event, we would make posters and attend a local rally or organize our own rally. This would help bring awareness and connect our community closer together. This club would be partnering with local political figures and the school/community newspaper to ensure that more people are aware of the activities of the club. Just like how candidates have public awareness campaigns to help them get votes, we would do the same to hopefully make a change in the community and branch further out to help in a larger scale as well.

I have worked closely with a democratic candidate who is currently serving in the Michigan House of Democrats. Her name is Padma Kuppa. We have had discussions on a number of controversial topics and she has given me a sufficient amount of confidence in my ability to fight for what I believe is right. With this confidence, my club/activity can reach the local government to help the cause we are fighting for.
