My Advice by Gina - April 2016 Scholarship Essay
A piece of advice that I would share with younger students is that one should always work hard in school. Even though studying for a test in middle school or working hard for a specific class may not seem important but in the future it can really help.
Working hard in every grade in school can help one in the long run. For example: I worked really hard in middle school to get great grades in honors like classes. Because I did this, I have taken many AP and college level classes that can be put towards college credits. Even though studying is a little irritating and may take away from one's social life, it can help a student get better grades in their classes.
Studying for school can also boost a student's self esteem. When one works hard for a test or a class and they find out that they got an A, it is an amazing feeling. Because of this, one may feel more confident approaching themselves and their peers. Family members such as parents and siblings will also be very proud of the student and trust them more. This can cause someone to have a more positive outlook on life.
As one can see, studying for a test or a class can help a younger student in the future. This can range from earning credits to go to college to boosting their self esteem and being more proud of themselves.
