Hard Work by Gary - April 2016 Scholarship Essay
When I first started High School, I didn’t even think about the fact that everything I do from this point on would dictate how the rest of my life I going to be. I didn’t know that my grades and what I learned in class would lay the foundation for my future. I think that what most students at my age think is that they are growing up which means life is going to be easier. That couldn’t more wrong because in fact, life is easy when you make it that way. You get there through hard work and dedication, not goofing off and wasting all those years of school.
Entering High School is the first step of adult hood. This is where you decide what you want to do with your life and who you want to be. From my experience, I learned what I wanted to do near the end of freshman year when I chose my elective. I decided to get into the field of computer networking. From then on I knew that the road to becoming successful would require tremendous amounts of effort, dedication, and hard work. Right now I am a senior in high school ready to move on to the next stage in my life in order to be successful in life.
