If you could sit down and have dinner with one president, who would it be? When one is asked this question, thoughts of great presidents--Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and others--come to mind. These are great men who helped form this great nation. But as I think about this question, I believe I would give an answer that is perhaps less common than one might expect. If I had to sit down and have dinner with one president, it would be Donald Trump. Love him or hate him, President Trump represents the future of this country. The past heroes of this nation have made it what it is today, but it is not them, but us who are living who determine the course of its future. Donald Trump, as the leader of this great nation, will determine its future more than any other person. You see, what matters most is the future. Our past has brought us where we are now, but what we do from here will determine the fate of this nation. The past is important. We can learn from it to help ourselves now. But what matters is the future, which it is never too late to change.
I love this country. I love the men, from Washington to Lincoln to Reagan to Obama, who formed it. And as a young person of this land, I want to see it prosper for me, my children, and my grandchildren. For that reason, I would sit down with the president who will determine its future.
