My Dream: Zoology by Gabriel - February 2024 Scholarship Essay

The academic subject that has inspired me the most is Zoology. Ever since I was a child I have had an interest in learning about animals. I also had an interest in learning about their environment and finding ways to help them. By earning a degree in zoology, I hope to get that much closer to fulfilling my dream.

One might ask "what child doesn't like cute, cuddly creatures?" However, I have always wanted to not only know how to take care of animals from all walks of life, but to also find out more about the world around them and how to preserve their natural habitats. My parents would always buy me National Geographic books and magazines. I would also watch just about every nature documentary I could find.

Sir David Attenborough is a personal hero of mine as his passion for animals and their preservation have always inspired me. I hope to one day be able to encounter and help as many creatures as he has.

As you will see in my transcripts, I have always excelled in all science related courses. Receiving your scholarship would allow me the opportunity to enroll in schools that specialize in my major.
