Importance of Education
“Education is the most powerful weapon which can you can use to change the world”(Nelson Mandela). Education is very important and it is the power to everything life. You can grow as a person and help the world with education. The more education you have in life the more opportunities that will come your way. We all start attending school at a very young age to grow and expand our knowledge. We become responsible, interested in different careers and what they are about , and we become more aware of what is going on around the world today. Everything we learn such as Math, and Science create a bigger explanation to everything around us. We should all aspire to engage in school and get the best out of it. We will all be something different in life but we will all have knowledge and an interest in what we are doing. Education is highly important and will help us build opinions, and have points of views on things in life.
First, Education is very important and in the United States it is free. Some countries do not provide free education and parents make huge sacrifices to give their kids the best life possible. “Never take education for granted. Continue to expand your knowledge pool”(anonymous). Living in the U.S and having the opportunity of education, it should never be taken for granted. As second graders most of the children are into playing with their toys, friends, and all the fun activities. Children do not understand the importance of education. We can not explain to them in a general way. It is important to get the students thinking about their future. As they get older they will start to understand more about the importance. Regardless it is important to get them on the right track and mindset.
Next, I would approach the students in a kind manner and bring up the subject about what they want to be when they are older. Students seem to get excited to share out what their dream job is and why it is their dream job. Most of the students are not sure that a lot of education and knowledge is required for them to reach that one day. I would continue with asking them what they know about college and if they know anyone who is currently attending or has attended. Making the students share out what they know about it will help them understand why college is so important. It is further knowledge, “The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you”(B.B. King). The kids would understand that in order to reach the career or job they want to do one day they will have to attend college. The only way to attend college or a university is to set your mind out and do the best possible through Elementary, Middle School, and High School.
Finally, The students would have a better understanding of education. A lot of parents also let their kids know the importance of school. Some students really care and always do their best. “Knowledge has a beginning but not an end”(anonymous), The students now know what it takes and throughout the years they will keep expanding their knowledge and want to keep pursuing education. The students might not all understand right away because it might not be their biggest interest as of now, after all they are just kids. The kids will start thinking about it and know that it is important that is the reason we mention it to them, and they currently attend school. That is how I would try to explain the importance of education to a second grade student. I would not want to throw so much information at them, because if they do not understand they might not remember it. It is better to make it fun or understandable in a way they can take it in and have understanding. The younger they start focusing on school, the more they will engage in later in life.
Overall Education is important worldwide. We learn as humans and get a better understanding of the world. Education makes us the people we are in society. Society wants open minded people who have, and understanding the different perspectives of life and people’s philosophies. Education is power and it is the reason why so many people pursue it. We have Doctors, Surgeons, Mechanics, Engineers, and so many more careers. These careers took education and college time. I believe everyone should pursue education because it will change the world. Education is highly important and will help us build opinions, and have points of views on things in life.
