The best book I have read for school was The Great Gastby written by F. Scott Fitzgearld. The Great Gatsby is a story about a wealthy man named Gatsby who puts on a cover up for the people that lives around him. Gatsby lives a lavish life in West Egg of New York.Gatsby tries to impress everyone about how it is possible to achieve fortune and success by the means of hard work and determination. He tries to personify how he got out of his hardships in his childhood and break the social barrier to eventually become what he is now. Gatsby’s wealth is  an unknown secret because nobody seems to know where his wealth comes from. Despite his fourtune Gastby feels as though he has not achieved the true American dream. He beileve the amserican American dream is having a family and money and living a normal life. Which is sort of contradicting becasue he was living above his means. One example, of how Gatsby trys to live beyond his means is he throws the huge parties because he wants to buy Daisy as he bought many of the material luxuries. Gatsby throws parties so that he can impress Daisy, the love of his life. Gatsby wants to reunite with Daisy, who he lost before setting off to World War I.The reason why this book was a phneonmal book too read was beacuse it give you life lesson on how to be yourself and how its not always good to live beyond your means. I enjoyed reading The Great Gastby.
