My Ultimate Strategy for Success on a School Project by Felizardo - December 2017 Scholarship Essay
Teamwork
"Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision, the ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results" (Andrew Carnegie). My ultimate strategy for success on a school project is teamwork. Working together in a group generates greater results such as: developing better critical thinking, complete things faster, and learn multi-tasking skills.
To begin with, teamwork involves many people who think different, and find different ways to do the work. Critical thinking is an essential part of a work, because it is where the ideas are developed. "None of us are as smart as all of us" (Ken Blanchard). This quote means that more people are smarter than one single person, because they combine their thoughts. People working together in a team are more likely to develop more thoughts and get several different results, so they have more probabilities to get the right answers, and the work well done.
Furthermore, collaboration makes the work run faster. The work is quickly done what accelerates the process of the activities should be completed at the end and make the rest of the pendient work easier. "Alone, we can do so little; together we can do so much" (Helen Keller). By this quote, Helen Keller refers to the collaboration and its benefits as a group. Working in a group, the work is easier and can be done faster.
Working in a group generates results efficiently because the team is using multi-tasking skills. Working with many people at the same time can be a disaster if they do not have organization; one way to have it is everyone doing a little part of everything so they can help each other. “Multitasking is a part of my everyday life” (Monica Denise Brown). This quote reflects how someone have taken advantage of this knowledge to use it whenever it is needed. There are many strategies to succeed, the most important that I use almost all the time is: multitasking.
To sum it all up, working together in a group develop some abilities such as having a better critical thinking, get the work done easier and faster, and learn multi-tasking skills. My ultimate strategy for success on a school project, is joining on a teamwork; working together with many people to develop useful skills.
