College Importance by Evanthia - April 2020 Scholarship Essay
All my life I have known that when I finish high school I want to go straight into college. I have always known that is the only way for me to be successful in life and be able to live the comfortable life I want.
Not only do I want to attend college because I believe it is the only way for my life to be successful but also because I aspire to be a physical therapist one day. Without college becoming a physical therapist will never be able to become a reality. Attending college will allow me to live the life I want. I want to be able to be involved with my family and still be able to work. With a college degree it will make it possible for me to go home and enjoy my family time without having to worry about paying the bills. I have never wanted to be a stay at home mom, I want to be able to show my kids that you can accomplish anything that you put your mind to.
My mom has always told us that college is the only option for my brother and sister and I. She did not go to college, and she is constantly telling us that her biggest regret is that she did not go to college. It has made getting a job for her very difficult and I have seen her struggle with the process. Seeing her struggle makes me even more motivated to succeed in college. I think that college is not only a place of education but more importantly it is a place to transition into becoming a successful adult.
