My dreams by Erin - March 2025 Scholarship Essay

10 years from now I hope to be living with my husband and future 3 kids on our hobby farm in our barndominium. I long for the day I get to support my kids in everything they want to accomplish and never have to limit them. Being there for my future family and being able to provide the opportunity for them to live comfortably is my main goal in life. I know I’ll be able to accomplish this through the funds of my career as a Chemical Engineer. Going into this field I know there will be a constant demand for my work and multiple ways to advance. Hopefully I will be able to be a research team leader even if I am just 6 years out of college. I have an immense passion for developing new economically and ethically centered products to help improve the human race. I belive that this passion will help me advance in my career quicker than my colleages. All of these hopes and dreams I have for my future will be made possible through the pristine education I will earn from Iowa State University. ISU is one of the top research and engineering universities which is why I trust it will set me up for success.
