Feeding Future Endeavor by Erika - October 2016 Scholarship Essay
Having the ability to teach someone something while ensuring that students are not only learning but also enjoying a subject is a tough challenge while working with children. The academic subject that I would teach would be English and I would want to make it as enjoyable and interactive as possible in a learning environment. Reading, writing, and communicating are all instrumental and essential topics for anyone in all academic levels and ages. The English subject is what constitutes the foundation for any other subjects, and almost every professional field. Children should be able to develop strong approaches for communication early on to prepare them for the rest of their academic careers and life in general.
There is nothing more enticing than an enjoyable learning experience. Unfortunately, I did not learn to truly appreciate the subject of English until college. I learned that communication is important in every encounter you make. I would want to provide an enjoyable experience to students as I have received throughout my education so they could enjoy specific subjects. Being influential in a child’s experience can be meaningful throughout their whole lives.
Growing up, I had the privilege of having great teachers, who taught with passion and spoke with expertise. I would want to be as much as an inspiration to children as my teachers were for me and be able to provide them with the ability to succeed in all of their future endeavors.
