ToTo What Extent Is Passion Characterized in the Sense of Education? by Eric - July 2019 Scholarship Essay
Education, by a biased definition, revolves around the concept of promoting multiple forms of academic work to an audience that aspires towards learning the subjects indoctrinated into the promotion at hand; in connection to education, passion is ultimately to be defined as a social construct of dedication and emotional empathy towards an entity, whether such entity is to be biotic, abiotic, or imaginary in the physical realm. Ergo, for an individual to be considered passionate about a topic that is in regards to an academic field, one must feel motivated, not forced, to explore the study of that academic working. In reference to myself, my favorite subject is math, but my dedication towards mathematics goes beyond just a simple favorite — I tend to go on mathematical adventures, exploring a concept in the realm of math that tends to last a couple of weeks until I feel satisfied with my findings. Obsession is what characterizes a concentrated and potent form of passion, in my opinion, and if an individual is not compelled to take the time out of his/her day to achieve a form of higher understanding about his/her favorite topic in a consistent manner, then the level of passion that the person has for his/her respective favorite topic is to be considered a weak form of dedication.
Individuals who wish to excel in more than just one topic are to be labeled as human entities who truly have an aspiration towards learning about the field of academics; furthermore, the fact that teachers essentially consist of wanting to teach other people about certain knowledge-based aspects shows that they truly do care about the topics that are in regards to education. Passion, in the sense of education, is essentially a measure of a person's wants in regards to favoritism; the more knowledgeable a person is about a topic has a direct correlation with the amount of time a person spent on learning the subject which in turn displays a direct vector of passion that that individual has towards his/her respective topic. In semi-summary, passion, in the sense of mathematics, can be interpreted as a vector, an entity of both size and direction.
Serving as a vessel for the embodiment of a subject from a reiteration-based standpoint ultimately displays an ironic context in which the entity displays love towards the topic that he/she desires, but is also extremely apathetic towards every other item, whether such item is to be real or ideological, to the extent in which obsession arises. Being obsessed with a topic does not necessarily propose a positive connotation, however. There have been moments in my life where I spend hours upon hours staring at numbers to where my mind forgets about my physiological needs, and before you know it, time becomes relative to the extent in which I dissociate from the meaning of time, where nine ante meridian becomes nine post meridian in a matter of minutes. Developing a sense of passion for something requires unhealthy forms of human existence and a "beyond-human" mentality, where the restlessness of dedication and hard work becomes typical and mundane to which you then excite yourself once again with greater concepts of the academic plane you are working in. Being passionate about a topic refers to the analogy of a drug-based addiction, where knowledge is the drug that you keep taking over and over again, but the people around you along with their simple social norms are the rehabilitation centers that prevent you from moving forward with the addiction. No one seems to understand drive in its potent form, not because it is too complex, but because individuals are too scared to go beyond health, to go beyond the basic comprehension of a topic, and to go beyond logical reasoning.
In summary, the extent to which passion is characterized in the sense of education (in reference to myself) is ultimately to be defined as an obsession that drives an individual to become competent in the field that they are studying in to the extent in which they can deliver an answer in that field with confidence and greatness, even if such hardships are inhumane.
