Dear Varsity Tutors committee,
I appreciate you taking the time to read my application, and I am truly grateful to be able to share my academic goals for the upcoming year. We all have goals we would be willing to achieve. Nevertheless, we can achieve them or we can fail to accomplish them. One can accomplish these goals by being determined, giving it your all, and not giving up. Once you learn these three pieces of advice, you will be successful in life. In this life, anything is possible if you give it your all and challenge yourself.
I am Emmanuella Hammond, a rising senior taking a dual enrollment course to save money since college is expensive and to graduate early. On August 29, 2022, I will begin a difficult course in statistics. I am aware it is difficult. However, I learned that one should challenge themselves in anything. Therefore, I will ensure that I give it my absolute best by asking the teacher questions if I’m confused about anything and attending office hours so that I can finish the course strong. My goal is to earn a 4.0 at the end of the course.
Secondly, while taking this course, I will be studying for my SAT on October 1st, 2022. I will guarantee that I study at least one hour daily because I am aiming to achieve 1300. My daily routine preparations will be to practice SAT math, writing, and reading questions on Khan Academy. I also plan to watch YouTube videos that will teach me math formulas I should be aware of and how to precisely use them to solve an equation before I take the test. I’m positive that my hard work will surely pay off.
Additionally, my third academic goal is to be accepted to all the colleges I have applied to and achieve full-ride scholarships to some of them, if not all. Furthermore, I would like to be 1st in my grade. This will be possible if I work hard; hence, I will take all the AP classes being offered at my school. I know this is going to be difficult since I have a lot to do. Nevertheless, all of these are achievable.
Sincerely, Emmanuella Hammond
