My 2021 New Year's education resolution by Emmanuela - December 2020 Scholarship Essay
A new year always comes with new beginnings and new resolutions. As a student, it’s important to have educational resolutions. My education new year’s resolution for 2021 is to attend Texas Woman’s University.
School is an important place to gain wisdom and knowledge. This fall, I have been looking for universities that I might be interested in, and one of them was Texas Woman’s University. I have been preparing by staying on top of my grades and doing community service.
I want to attend Texas Woman's University because college is a big step into the adult world. I've always wanted to be an adult since I was little and I feel like college is the best place to get the experience. I want to learn more about the kind of person that I am and learn how to be more responsible.
I also want to attend University in order to start a new tradition of going to college. I’m a first generation child, and most of my family members didn’t have the chance to reach their education goals. I want to set a good example for my siblings so that they know it’s achievable.
Lastly, the career I want to pursue requires a college degree. I am very interested in analyzing finances and I’ve heard Texas Woman's University has a good accounting program. Mathematics is my strongest subject, so I want to become an accountant. I’m working hard in order to achieve this goal.
Education is important to me and I would love to further my education.
