The impact I have made on my community is not the biggest. I haven’t spend tons and tons of money nor has the local newspaper written about me. However this past Christmas I had the opportunity to sponsor three young woman who had mental and physical handicaps. They had been through rough childhoods as well. Neither of them had ever experienced the privilege of having a Christmas present. With the help of my mother and another young lady along with a group of close friends, we were able to give these woman the Christmas that they wanted. Impacting the community takes a village.

It's important to note that you can make an impact on your community by just giving a compliment to someone you see at the grocery store. Who knows, you might just make their day. You never ever know what is truly going behind closed doors. Even something as simple as helping an elderly person grab something off the top shelf at the store or volunteering at the local animal shelter, these are all things that have an effect on the community and environment around you!

I would say that my biggest contribution to the community around me would be not only putting in time to sponsor a Christmas or giving out Thanksgiving dinners at our church, but I would say it’s being kind that has made the greatest impact.
