My Senior Yearbook Quote by Emily - November 2018 Scholarship Essay
When deciding on a senior quote there are a multitude of things to consider. You have to make sure it is substantial and holds great meaning to you, but you also don’t want it to be so complex where to other people won’t understand. You want it to be memorable but not in a negative way (no one wants to be the one who gets stared at during the class reunion in 20 years). Taking all of these things into consideration, my senior quote would be, “Be strong and courageous. Do not afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9.”
I would choose this bible verse to be my senior quote because it holds great meaning to me personally. Throughout high school, I have faced many things that made me anxious or nervous. Anytime I was feeling scared about the outcome of things like my grades, friendships, or family situations, I kept this verse in mind to help me overcome it. When applying to college, I was very indecisive about where I wanted to go and what I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life. I am going to college to become an elementary school teacher but when I told some people that, they would try to talk me out of it. This bible verse encouraged me to follow my instincts and do what I really want to do because I know that God will always be with me.
