College Victories by Emily - November 2016 Scholarship Essay

As a high school senior, I have worked diligently to maintain a wonderful GPA of 3.8. and will be graduating December of 2016. College will soon begin, and I am ecstatic. Providing a platform for my future is significant, as I plan to have a great lifestyle for my family. I have always looked forward to continuing my education, exceeding my personal expectations, and refining my abilities.

A week ago, I registered for classes at Pellissippi State Community College. As a business management major, I will have to experience the most dreaded course during my first semester, public speaking. Speaking amongst a crowd has always been a challenge for me, as I am acutely timid and shy. Throughout the years, I have learned about communication; it is the key to success in any career. Therefore, I have participated in numerous social, educational events. When I received my first job opportunity, I rapidly improved with communication. I feel that through trials and triumphs, I am well prepared for this course. As public speaking approaches, I will ready myself for its challenges. This course will assist me in countless ways and guide my career path; I am ready for the triumphant result.
